Alain Rico is an engineer in biotechnology from the University of Marseilles, France. Member of the French Army Institute for Tropical Medicine he worked on vaccine development studies in the fight against malaria. In 1997, he joined PE Biosystems now part of Thermo Fisher Scientific, a multinational biotechnology product development company based in the US. In charge of the global market development for the Reproductive Health business, he is coordinating collaborations with key opinion leaders and development of innovative solutions, across all groups and divisions of the company and using the comprehensive offer of systems and reagents available in its portfolio. He generated data for the first NGS-based workflow for combined analysis of PGT-A, PGT-M and mitochondrial DNA and is the initiator of the genetic analysis portfolio for assisted reproductive technologies at Thermo Fisher Scientific.
